Poole or Brownsea Island

  • Brownsea Island

Poole attracts many visitors with its large natural harbour, history, the Lighthouse arts centre and Blue Flag beaches to name but a few of its many delights. Once home to the camp that led to the Scout movement, Brownsea Island lies in Poole Harbour, opposite the town, the largest of eight islands. Now home to one of the last and largest Red Squirrel colonies, the island can be reached by one of the public ferries or by private boat. (Tickets to Brownsea Island are not included)
